I gave myself the day off after meeting my deadline yesterday and with the prospect of the dentist and a big school governors' meeting to chair tomorrow. I cycled in to Cambridge for a mooch around the sops. it's been the most perfect Summer day - town was full of students lolling around having a well-deserved lovely time after their exams have finished - many of them moving out of their rooms for the summer holidays and packing their belongings into the cars of harrassed-looking parents. It is always a challenge to park in Cambridge - it's bad enough in the car, but on a bike, it can be even worse! I jammed by bike into the middle of this tangle and hoped for the best!
That is amazing! How great that so many ride their bikes everywhere...I bought one several years ago and it is hanging up in my garage..I bet the tires are dry-rotted from lack of use by now...sad, huh!
Never been faced with this problem, can't you lock it up to a lamppost or do they all have to be in designated areas? Ugh, 3 hours at the dentist, how horrible, was that the time spent waiting or the time the work took...not sure which would be worse, depends on the choice of magazines, anyway, hope it went ok??oh and nice photo, and couldn't Mum guess which was your bike!?
Such a beautiful day in a nice town. :)
