I don't like this empty space in my calendar so am filling it with this photo taken on the banks of the Thames on the 365 London meet-up.
In case the writing on the sign is too small too read, it says. "PAUL: Please assist us by not feeding the birds." Just out of the shot is a flock of podgy starlings stuffing their beaks with crumbs from the nearby cafe.
I'm baffled by the word Paul at the top. Is this sign addressed to a man called Paul, an incorrigible bird-feeder who just WILL NOT STOP?
Or is Paul the seagull, saying "Please assist us by ignoring this sign and feeding the birds as much as you like."
Aha - I have the key to the mystery - there was a little 'Paul' kiosk there - you know the French boulanger that now have branches over here http://www.paul.fr/uk/magasins-adresses.php - they've obviously put the sign up on their headed paper.
