The first snowfall of the year. It was eerily still when I took the dogs out this afternoon, with fat snowflakes falling softly all around. The hens were distinctly unimpressed. They bustled and huffed their way up to the fence, feathers all puffed out, as if to put in a complaint to the management. It sounded very much like "If you think we're working under these conditions, you've got another thing coming!" They've demanded that I enter into formal negotiations with their union representative if things don't improve by tomorrow. Strike action cannot be ruled out.

Crime drama. Spoilt for choice this evening between the new series of Lewis on TV and watching the next episode of the second series of The Killing on DVD.
Really must stop commenting and go to Finance Committee but I'm loving your chucks. Ours would go out in sympathy. They've obviously spent most of the day on perches because I've got a clean out job to do as well :0(
