I was in town today (first time in almost 2 months!) and walked past the fish market. It looks nice but you won't find any locals shopping here anymore. It is a tourist trap and you get get better and fresher seafood in the supermarket across the road (or any grocery store come to think of it). In the shops, you also usually pay one third of the price of what you have to pay at the fish market!
LOL Helge - we got "trapped" when we visited ( we did think it was expensive though) - I think we tried some whale meat. It was a conflicting experience for us - whales are protected here and people go whale watching instead. I think it was Bergen - please excuse me if my memory had let me down! Cheers Rob
