At this point the camels almost made it to the finish line. The round sign says 300m. If I calculated well they run about 10km. The fastest camels can reach up to 40mph (more than 60 km/h)!
You can see some owners hanging out of their cars.Obviously with such a distance it is not possible to see the whole race unless it is filmed and displayed. There was a drone and the second figure standing in the car (blue scarf) is filming.
Because this is something for locals with money, the race track and especially premises (around the finish) are maintained very well and there are lovely flowers.
@thewatersphotos Yes that is because of the heat. My guess is more than 50% vehicles you see here on the road are white 4x4. We have 2 cars ourselves and one is a white 4x4...
