A photo from my dads youth, he was the youngest, his middle brother Ab and his oldest brother Gerard.
It’s a pity that I never got to know his brothers very well....... when looking for this photo I went through a box full of old photo’s and found also an announcement of my dad’s dead. Last January 22 years back he died, I still miss him.
It's a lovely momento to have.
Similarly to you and Diana, my Dad passed away around the same time. I was thinking of my Dad today - it would have been his 83rd Birthday. We share the same sense of humour and sometimes, when I see a 365 photo that makes me smile or laugh, I think "Dad would have liked that one!"
A wonderful photo - they look so much alike, you can tell they are brothers - my dad has been gone 28 years in October - you never stop missing your father...
Very cool family photo. I can relate, wanting to research my English, Irish and Scottish roots, Friday I was looking for the claddagh ring from Ireland- someone had made for my grams and she gave to me when I was little, when I came across the prayer card from my moms funeral... 32 yrs now and I miss her and my dad, every day.
