Tolerance

Down by Buffalo Bayou in Houston there are a series of kneeling sculptures by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. The figures are made up of letters of many world languages.
Very intriguing sculptures! We have some in Michigan, too!

@juliedduncan Just saw your photo Julie - I hadn't seen it before as I only joined late July! Very nice, great processing. There is one of these in Biarritz too, in the south of France. I wonder how many more there are around the world? I plan going back to the Bayou some night to try to capture them when they are lit up from below. Not the best place to be hanging around after dark though - I'll need to drag hubby along I think!

@jamibann Thanks for the view and nice comment. I wonder how many there are around the world, too! I can't imagine how long it takes to make one of these!
Sounds like fun! Be careful! :)

Wonderful capture, Issi. And I love the idea behind the sculptures, very cool idea to use the letters of many languages.

Fantastic shot. I love the way the leaves are also a silhouette, as well as the sculpture.
