May the Bird of Paradise fly up your nose ...

I know this flower is so called because of its similarity to a bird - but I thought these two were particularly bird-like in their pose!
Gorgeous capture of one of my favorite flowers.

@anazad511 @featherstone @jessca646 @allisonraposa @kwind @tristansmum @almondjoy1 Thanks everyone! Did anyone recognise the song? I have no idea why I know it, but it goes ... 'may the bird of paradise fly up your nose, may an elephant caress you with its toes ... ' More than that I don't recall!

@gailmmeek Thanks Gail - that one was taken looking into a mirror inside Donald Trump's Tower in NYC, as it happens! :-)

@jamibann I think the next line is "may your wife be plagued with runners in her hose", but beyond that i don't remember. I think it's from roughly the same period as "My Friend the Witch Doctor", "Flying Purple People Eater" and "Love Potion Number Nine"--but I may be wrong.

Gorgeous shot, and I just put that record on for the grandkids the other day! They loved it. I hadn't heard it in years but wanted to play them so silly old songs.

So well spotted! You've captured and processed it in a way that make them alive and elegant.

Oh lovely - reminds me of watching the gannets as they returned to the nest and greeted their mate.

@tristansmum Yes, I googled it ... 1965 or thereabouts! Its amazing the kind of rubbish I can keep in my head! @sansjuan It's a catchy tune, for sure - it has stayed in my head for almost 50 years!
@taffy @cathieg @busylady @dide Thanks for the nice comments ladies.
