These gals just keep on giving! The blooms from two days ago have gone already, but the plant is full of new frills again. My turn on the birthday wheel today ... all the 5's, 55. How I wish it were just a bingo number! I have to say it's not the happiest of birthdays so far as I haven't heard from my daughter yet, which is very unusual. She is away camping north of Phoenix, and I'm just hoping she's either not in range for her mobile phone, or that she's just having such a good time that she's forgotten. It's not like her though, and we mums do worry, don't we? Especially when she's at the other side of the world from me! Hopefully by tomorrow's post I will have heard from her.
@tristansmum Happy to say she was in touch last night! She'd been out of phone range for most of the day. It's awful when you start worrying - hard to stop - but all is well now!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Issi. How about that, we have celebration days just hours apart. These poppies were so generous in supplying decorations for your special day. They're just gigantic things. (So glad you eventually heard from your daughter.)
