Not everyone's 'cup of tea', but for us Christmas in France isn't Christmas without a spot of Foie Gras. However, I do try not to eat it throughout the year as I really don't like the method of stuff feeding the geese to obtain the fatty liver, but it is also very calorific and high in cholesterol.
@pixiemac You'd be ok with the confit d'oignons which we eat with it, but I'm afraid that, as a vegetarian, the foie gras would be your worst nightmare, Sarah!
Lovely set up. I don't know if I have ever had foie gras. I do know that it is not readily available in South Africa and practically non existent out of the cities.
Love your way of composing this - the lighting and colors are really nice. Have never tried foie grass - doesn't sound like I'm really anxious to but one never knows until you try it. You made it look quite appealing.
Very nice presentation of the foie gras - I have never tried it but after reading your description and these comments I did some research and now know more about it. I would definitely give it a try but like you, I would not want to eat it on a regular basis.
