100th French Golf Open

Mother in Law has come to stay for a few days, and so we took her to the first day of the French Golf Open, which is being played at the Golf National, just a 30 minute drive from where we live. It was cold and the course was very quiet, but we had an interesting morning following Victor Dubuisson and Rory McIlroy's rounds.

Our daughter is here too, for the moment, although she heads off tomorrow for a holiday with friends. We learned yesterday that she now holds the title of BEng from Loughborough University. Degree Ceremony will be in a couple of weeks time in England. :-)

Photo taken with i-phone as a I didn't take the camera - they are usually very fussy about that at golf tournaments. As it turned out, I could easily have taken it with me ... Ah well, next time!

Apologies, by the way, for not being on top of my commenting at the moment. Life is a tad hectic, but I'm doing my best to keep up! All your lovely comments on my recent photos have been much appreciated however.
It looks like you were the only people at the golf? Lovely to see your daughter out with you - congrats to her! Enjoy your MILs stay.

@pamknowler @peterday It does look like it, but no, no, there were the four of us and a few others! We went early to get seats as my MIL is not able to walk around much of the course. We also chose to go on the first day, which is also the quietest - again for her to be able to enjoy it better and not be hassled by too many people. It was a nice day out - despite the somewhat inclement weather!

Nice family portrait. I don't enjoy crowds so I would prefer the quieter days. Congrats to your daughter. Enjoy your time with your MIL.
