Braemar Castle

The castle has been run by the community of Braemar since 2007. It's been having a makeover and has been shrouded in scaffolding for the past 18 months. It has now reopened to the public, and looked resplendent on Tuesday in the afternoon sun. I can't wait to back for a visit.

Finally, today looks as if it's going to be a beautiful sunny day. :-)

Ok, this might be sacrilegious, but we have fast food brand of hamburgers called "White Castle" in the US and guess what the logo looks like! The color choice is quite brilliant with the sun hitting it that way. Nice shot.

Interesting looking castle, I like the towers and turrets. It looks modern with its makeover. I like that remnants of outhouses - I think that's what they're called? - are still seen perched up against the surrounding wall.
