Nuart 2017

I spent some time in the city of Aberdeen on my recent trip to Scotland, and was delighted to track down some of the street art from the 2017 Nuart Festival. This is the Market building, where the German art couple 'Herakut' have done a beautiful piece of work.

It was really cool to see this type of thing in Aberdeen, a former fishing port and current oil city ... not renowned for art. I hope there will be more of it in the future.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to track down them all, as I just didn't have time, but I found a few!

Though the name "Aberdeen" is well-known to me, I never thought of it as a city lacking art! How wonderful that you put these creations on the map!
