I mentioned a few days earlier, when I posted a shot from the Place de la Concorde, that all the fountains are back on in Paris, after the winter.
The Warsaw Fountains at the Trocadero Gardens seem to have been closed down for ages, but they're back on and with a vengeance! These big water canons (20 in total) are not on all the time though - I think it must be every half hour, but I was there at the right time yesterday afternoon. They're quite impressive and you have to give them a wide berth to avoid getting wet from the spray. In fact looking closely at this shot, I can see little water marks on the image - I should have cloned them out.
There is such joy in a functioning fountain! I was sad at Versailles to see them all dormant (I think you had to pay to see them at certain times). This is wonderful!
Wow! Big guns, indeed! Great capture of these truly amazing fountains! I imagine that spray does go everywhere and must feel wonderful on really hot summer days. :-)
