Into The Light

Another shot from Monday's snowy walk up Pannanich Hill. This was taken in the woods at the bottom of the hill. I liked the light here and the lens flare. Poor hubby features all too often in my photos these days ... this retirement lark has a lot to answer for!
Great lighting. It nice to have a good model with you.

why not turn the tables

@peterday Then it would be his photo, not mine. I need to do more selfies when we're out, but they take time to set up.

@henrir It is, you're right, but he's usually in front, so blissfully unaware until I show him the picture later in the day.

As you've quite rightly stated, it's hard walking in snow. Quite a difficult shot for the camera here, a dark top area and a bright bottom area. I think the image is a little overexposed as the snow is blown out in parts. I really like the image as a whole and the rim light around you husband, it stands him out from the trees in the background. Fav

Yes, wonderful lighting here, and such good contrasts between the snow and the trees & hiker. Looks super in B&W.

Nice in so many ways - the light, the composition and the fact that you’re out walking with your lovely man.

Ha ha had to laugh at your hubby comment....I notice nearly all husband photos are of their backs! Certainly true if I ever get mine in shot! The light is lovely here & so much snow!

I actually like the way the snow is a bit overexposed, gives the shot a magical look

I like the light and the flare is perfect. Awhile back I had a shot with sun flare and another photog said, oh too bad about that flare... lol I had to break it to them that I liked it and that sometimes, it really works as it’s appropriate and adds to the effect! Love this and I’m beyond impressed with you all out in any kind of weather!
