Not a very auspicious start to our trip to the US. 4.20 am. Me driving. Deer runs out in front of the car. One dead deer. One damaged car. However, no-one injured - other than the deer. 😬😥 In London now, hopefully no more incidents!
Deer do a lot of damage if you hit them, having lived most of my life in areas with a lot of deer. At least that wasn't the windscreen as you'd have had problems too, although it's still not good. Have fun in the States.
What a shock you would get, just thankful you are ok & fit to travel....daren’t think if one or all ended in hospital. Even a minor injury could have spoiled your holiday! Perhaps your car will be fixed when you get home!! Have a great time...looking forward to the photos!
Have a good trip. Deer are becoming more common also near our mountain villages. We like to see them but we are learning about the damages they can cause.
@sarah19 Yes, we've got over the trauma. Poor John, having to drag parts of his car and a dead deer off the road before we could continue our journey! And all this at 4.20 am. Not a great start to the day!!!
