Chanterelles by jamibann

Chanterelles

Now, these mushrooms I do know what to do with. With all the rain this summer, there's an abundance of them around. However, I'm not a massive fan ... I find them a little slimy and not particularly tasty. A little goes a long way as far as I'm concerned - I wouldn't pay for them, but I do love gathering them!
Not one I know .. don't sound very tempting .. Hope you find someone that does like them ..

They do have an odd look don’t they....a sort of rubbery look about them. You have caught every detail nicely, all that ribbing!! I’m not sure if I have eaten a chanterelles but love mushrooms so would be interesting to try.

How cool to find them growing naturally. And I agree...so tough and slick in texture that they don't really appeal to me for a meal.

Oh, yum ! Love them, when I was a child you could still find & pick them in the forest, not anymore...
Lovely shot

Oh I would take them. Hard work to clean them, but then just butter, garlic, fresh parsley and chives,... and double cream. Heaven! Maybe you can trade them for some cucumbers? 😉

They are like little fans, aren't they? I am not fond of the texture to eat either, but they do look good
