John and Peter

It seems that lots of our newly retired ex-colleagues are 'finding' us at the moment, which is lovely. I guess a lot of couples are getting fed up of only having each other's company and are looking for friends to exercise with. So, when Peter got in touch asking about doing a walk together in our area, we were free! Peter and I worked together in Paris in 1987 and we've vaguely kept in touch since then by FB. It was nice to have have a real catch up with him and meet his wife Fionnuala. A lovely day out, and I was able to put my worries about dad to the side for a bit. Better on black.

Friday 13th. Be careful out there!
A grand view, sounds like lots of new friendships coming up

Lovely to meet up for new old faces in the midst of this. Looks like a lovely walk.
Had to smile at your Friday 13th comment! When I was a teenager, my pal and I were studying Shakespeare's Macbeth and went to see it on Wednesday 11th with the other Drama students. We decided to return on Friday 13th to see it again because we know how crazily superstitious actors are! True to form, they forgot lines, dropped things and basically performed badly. They would say it was because of the Friday 13th curse. I say it was down to their expectations......
Off to find me a black cat, a ladder to walk under, popping my shoes on the table and whistling backstage......see you tomorrow!

It’s funny how we are all racking our brains to think of anyone that would be free for a walk!
It’s the best way of having a chat & catch up....we don’t all have breathtaking views like this though...enough to stop the chat & just stare!
Hope dad is managing OK & getting his confidence & strength back...it must have shaken you all up.

Wonderful sentiment and photo. During Lockdown, I’ve reconnected with a number of people that I hadn’t seen for decades!

Nice that you are able to gather even outdoors with friends. Rekindle relationships and build new ones perhaps.

This landscape could double as northeast Pennsylvania! Beautiful view. It seems our outdoor photo club outings have had good attendance for the same reasons I think- people just want to get out of the house!

As for Friday the 13th- and this one in particular, son #2 was born on this day- so it's never been unlucky for me!

Nice shot!
