The Balmoral Cairns

We went for a walk with the kids yesterday, around the Balmoral Cairns - a walk in the Balmoral Estate which circuits various cairns erected by Queen Victoria to celebrate events in the lives of her children and of course her beloved Albert. Here, at this point, we had a great view over Balmoral Castle and rather than show my image of the castle, I thought I'd showcase my daughter's. The cairn at this point was built to commemorate the marriage of Prince Leopold (the eighth child and youngest son) and Princess Helen of Waldeck and Pyrmont in 1882.
