I’m thankful for the gift of the Bible. His Word! His story! A gift in the truest sense of the word! Today, with this final post in my month long celebration of grace, I reflect on Ephesians 5:20:
And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I dedicated November to giving thanks to God by photographing a particularly meaningful gift each day and dwelling on His goodness. This has done me good, has opened my eyes! I’m glad I didn’t miss the gifts. The moments. Sunlight through leaves, dog running through grass, bird on a branch, frost on a leaf, cows in a field, my husband’s hands — all gifts from a good God! With my November theme now behind me, I move forward more aware. More thankful! God is so good. I must stay awake. I’ll not pass this way again, and I don’t want to miss a thing!
Thanks to all who supported my celebration of grace throughout November and those who joined me by tagging their images all-is-grace. Your interest and kind words were gifts!
Such a beautiful set of shots this month and this is a lovely one to end on. Your commentary throughout has been inspirational and your strong faith has shone through.
@lhart Lynne, thank you so much for your thoughtful comment today and for the support you gave me through your comments and favs throughout November. I truly appreciate your interest in my project!
Beautiful photo to end your series with. This week I am leading a book group at my church about "Unbroken," by Laura Hillenbrand. In my research preparation, I came across an essay by Hillenbrand that I think fits your project and outlook on life. You must scroll down to the title: "Two Minute Ode to Chocolate." http://cultivatingthought.com/author/laura-hillenbrand/
@cejaanderson Thank you, Jane! I really enjoyed the Two Minute Ode to Chocolate, and I can so relate to it! You are so sweet to provide the link. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I really appreciate your support of my project. Your kindness is an inspiration! Have fun with your book group. Sounds like such fun!
I have really enjoyed every post you've shared this month and the thoughts behind them. They've been an inspiration to me and I'm sure to others. A truly fitting one to end with, Janet.
@milaniet Such kind words...thank you! Your interest in and support of my project is very much appreciated. Your detailed comments always delight and help me to learn.
God's Word truly is a gift to be thankful for. And so is the privilege to read it in freedom. The cover is handsomely unique. It's been very nice getting to know you through the things you're thankful for. Your pictures have presented everything so nicely.
@lyndemc Thank you for your comment, Denise. You are so kind! :-) This Bible is very special to me as it is a recent gift from my son. The cover is very soft, and it feels so good in my hands. I love it! It really is a privilege to read it in freedom as you mentioned.
