While shooting abstracts is not my norm, I’m drawn to do so every once in a while. Such was the case recently when interesting, irregularly-shaped raindrops grew wide on our moonroof. Brake lights as far as the eye could see, and we inched along admiring the everchanging patterns of the water. When a nearby streetlight added happy highlights to the shapes, I had an abstract; and who knew that all this beauty could hang just overhead in a traffic jam?
I like viewing this image best on the black background.
@cejaanderson Thank you so much, Jane, for your enthusiastic comment and fav! It was quite fun watching the raindrops expand and create new designs. :-)
Love reading your commentary - such a wonderful reminder to enjoy the common things. Rather than fuss about traffic slow-downs, you took advantage of it and sure caught the lighting well. Love the clarity of those drops and the wide range of sizes. Really did make an interesting abstract shot.
