My Dad’s Polaroid Model 95 came into my hands because of my sister’s selflessness. “I’d rather you have it,” she said, “since you’re the one who’s into photography.” She’s selfless. Always has been. I remember playing around with Model 95 when I was a child. Not with film or with any knowledge of how the camera functioned. Little hands just pretending. Who knew then the joy photography would bring to my life? Now, Model 95 is back in my hands; and my sister’s selfless act holds a special place in my heart!
My original post about the special day Model 95 changed hands is here.
I like viewing this image best on the black background.
I had missed your original posting so had to go back and read about it. I can remember the early polaroids - know I still had one at least up until the last move 12 years ago - don't remember seeing it since. Hmm. Really nice detail on this beauty.
@milaniet Such a nice comment...thank you! Strange how things disappear that way. Hopefully, yours will turn up! I'm creating a display of cameras, and my Dad's will have a place of honor. My first SLR was a Pentax K1000 that I bought when I was about 19 years old. Great memories.
@jgpittenger Thank you! Such a nice comment, Jane. I appreciate you taking a look back at my previous post about his camera. My sister really is a gem.
What a great shot and a wonderful story to go with it. I have an old Polaroid camera that was my dad's and my husband has a collection of old cameras that were his dad's. They are such nice remembrances to have.
