Banjo Music by janetb

Banjo Music

They say that a Green Frog’s call sounds like a plucked banjo string, and they’re right! Every Summer, the sound resonates from our pond along with the trilling of American Toads. We look forward to hearing these annual mating calls — sounds marking another year passed and all is still right with the world. I like decorating my home with meaningful things. To the unknowing, this may look like a tiny, sparkling trinket box shaped like a frog. To me, it’s every Summer night’s banjo music floating up from the pond below the bedroom window.
Once again such beautifully written commentary, i love your descriptive phrases. Lovely shot of this treasured piece.

What a lovely story to go along with your cute trinket box. Isn't it funny how sounds a smells can instantly transport us to another place and time? Well done.

Nearly believed it was an amphibian peculiar to your part of the world, until I looked closer at the emerald glass encrusted body. You've managed a very life-like character.
