What a thrill to find one of the four Victoria Crowned Pigeons at the National Aviary perched at just about eye level while walking by recently with my camera! Is it William or Mary or Ferdinand or Isabella? Without seeing the leg band, I don’t know. What I do know is that he or she is a beauty, and I like the variety of textures emphasized by shooting the scene in black and white.
