Monday means laundry day, and homemaking appeals to me! I find joy in washer spinning, folding dryer-warm clothes, and steam rising from hot iron while wrinkles fade away. I’m thankful for the blessing of a family to care for, and this is holy work. Birdfeeders hanging in the trees below this window provide plenty of entertainment while I complete my tasks. I spotted a Cowbird for the first time this Spring today!
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (Colossians 3:17)
What a lovely lovely sentiment! Like you, I loved the opportunity to be home with the children and to care for my house. Nowadays, in his retirement, Ken has taken over many of these chores. I'll have to let him know what a blessing he is to me, and to point out that it's Holy Work he's doing as well ; )
Nice composition of your photo, and I enjoyed your narrative! I daily remind myself to do my work cheerfully, remembering that every act can be an act of worship.
A beautifully composed & captured image of the little things in life that can mean so much to your family. You are more than welcome to come to my place and do some Holy Work here too. :) teeheehee
