Marley and I hit the back roads this morning and ended up at Northmoreland Lake where sunlight glistened like blinding diamonds on the surface of the water. Walking to a picnic table to enjoy the dazzle and the trilling of red-winged blackbirds, camouflage wearing a hat approached and asked, “Is he friendly?” Is he ever! Marley treated the now crouched and smiling fisherman to a wagging tail and happy spins; and don’t I just love my friendly, little dog to the moon and back? Once at the picnic table, sweet Marley sat peacefully; and I photographed diamonds while my heart beat thanks for back roads and beautiful mornings.
