With temperatures in the 80s and cornflower blue skies, many of us Pittsburghers spent time outdoors this weekend! Mike and I put the top down and drove up to West End-Elliott Park yesterday afternoon to enjoy the sunshine and a beautiful view of our wonderful city. The Point State Park Fountain, inactive during the Winter months, now graces our skyline once again; and the sight of that 150’ tower of water means it’s official — Spring has sprung!
If you look closely at the Ohio River, you can see a line in the water. The color of the water in the Allegheny River is different than the color of the water in the Monongahela River; and as both rivers flow together to form the Ohio River, a line dividing the two colors is visible until the waters blend further downstream.
It is so interesting how different the two rivers look! Fantastic city capture and thank you for sharing this as I have never seen something like it before! FAV
