With spring on my mind, I sat down to knit for an hour while Mike stacked a new cord of wood on the side porch. He started a fire before going out, and its cozy warmth beside the Christmas tree all aglow drew me into the familyroom. I rarely knit for myself, but I started this hat to match the new coat I'll wear come spring. April camping comes with chilly weather. We'll walk and then walk some more, always hand in hand, because that's what we do. I'll be ready for whatever Mother Nature brings. I can't wait!
I love this!
I also love to knit but my thumbs are beginning to rebel. I knitted a sweater for each of our granddaughters and thought I was done. Our oldest son and daughter-in-law decided to adopt two children after their youngest was 10, so then I need to knit two more sweaters after I had thrown away my pattern of my favorite sweater for kids. Bummer, but I found something similar even though I don’t love it as much as I love the other one.
I pray for them while I knit their sweaters.
@mamabec How wonderful! I’m sure the sweaters are treasured by the recipients! I also pray while knitting. I typically knit chemo caps for local cancer fighters. No doubt about it…knitting is a blessing in many ways!
