Another photo of my last tour in the mountains. In the valley summer begins - in the mountains spring starts. During this time the meadows of pastures are flowering. This period in the mountains I enjoy very much.The picture shows a gentian (gentiana sierrae), flowering on the mountain pastures at present in many places. At the moment some places in the mountain meadows seem to be showered by the color of the sky.

A postscript:
Some asked about where I photographed this flower. I could specify the exact GPS data. But I remain vague: I photographed this flower in the mountains of the province of Salzburg. I'm cautious and do not indicate the exact location of this wonderful place. I want to protect it (by the way: I am a member of the Austrian Alps Protection Association). I want to share a bit of the magic of the beauty of the mountains with you. Unfortunately so much is destroyed - some regions in the Alps degenerated partially to very questionable fairgrounds and be sacrificed for profit mass tourism. It is destroyed, because of what people actually visit this place: the beauty of the mountains and nature. And who has a genuine desire to meet this flower, they will find it.

This is just beautiful - the lighting and saturated blue and gorgeous against the golden background. You have a wonderful eye for nature. Where do you live - love to know where the pictures are taken.

The photo I took on the way to a mountain in the federal state of Salzburg (not the city Salzburg).The top of this mountain I have already reached once. But this time I had to return early because there was still too much snow above. It would have been very risky and dangerous.
