We have now managed about half way to the summit. The forest thins out and we enter blooming meadows. In the middle of the year you can experience spring in the mountains. Many flowers bloom then in the alpine meadows, but also among the rocks.
What a beautiful capture of this Dactylorhiza fuchsii. I love those meadwos too, and am specially drawn to wild orchids like this one. I wonder, if you altered the colour a bit, to go well into the Pyhrgas Series, or if this plant was that special.
@mona65
Thank you for your kind words, Mona. Nice to have you accompany me on the way to the summit!
You have rightly noticed that I have changed the color of the flower - in reality these flowers have a distinctive pink. I took the liberty to go into further light. It suited me more to my memories of this bright and sunny alpine pasture.
Thank you for your kind visit! Have a wonderful sunday!
@mariapachon I found these flowers on the Gowilalm - this is an alpine meadow halfway to the summit of the mountain "Kleiner Pyhrgas". If you want to view the exact position, please enter following coordinates on Google Earth in "search" box: N 47.669868° E 14.391867°
Very interesting detail in these flowers, and great job capturing it. I have some flowers in my yard with fascinating patterns, but I have been unable to capture it on camera.
@debbyglynn Thank you, Debby, for your nice comment!
You also have a garden? That's nice! What grows there? Which flowers bloom there? "Fascinating patterns" - that sounds very nice. Would be nice if you photograph them. To capture it - you have a macro lens - just try to play with light and dof.
LOL @jerome , if it grows in my garden, you've probably seen a picture of it here on 365. I've been taking an awful lot of flower photographs lately. The flowers I was talking about are all gone now until next spring. I've taken many photographs of the patterns on them, but the pictures haven't done them justice. I will try again next spring :-)
@debbyglynn
Then I look forward to next spring! :-)
But I would like to be very sure that we continue to share each day nice. I am very pleased that you're here.

@psychographer Yes, as Mona already noted, this flower is dactylorhiza fuchsii and belongs to the orchid family. If you want to know more: e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dactylorhiza_fuchsii
