zoo Schmiding
_____________________________________

In zoo Schmiding lives a bachelor group of gorillas. These social organizations are typical for lowland gorillas in nature. If a place in a harem is free - for example when an old silverback dies - then a male moves up from such a bachelor group. This happened in winter of 2008. At that time moved the chief gorilla of Schmiding to the zoo of Blackpool (England), where the gorilla women waited on the new harem boss.
And now there are also youngs.
Awesome on black. What great details, and the eyes look so lively with the lights. Wonderful Gorilla portrait.

Fabulous portrait of a fabulous animal - terrific focus on those eyes (hard to do black on black) and I enjoyed reading about the way life goes for a harem of gorillas. Love the education you get here. Fav

I keep coming back to look at this photo. The detail in the fur is amazing as well as the colour. It's like a National Geographic shot - amazing!

Thank you, Caroline, for your love comment! Thank you for your understanding. I feel impolite if I do not personally dedicate myself a love feedback Currently, however I lack leisure. You are so nice. I would like to be more personal. My English is not good either.

I am not sure about the blue colour. I think I might have toned that done a tad. Otherwise a good animal portrait.

@marshwader
Thank you, Madeleine, for your suggestion! I tried some shading and decided ultimately for this.
