@andifree I've never been to California. This must be a wonderful country. The sierra nevadas I would very much like to visit. Two years ago I was in Alaska - so close by. ;-)
@joysabin I completely agree with you - the mountains are a place of beautiful stillness and power. And my longing for them is great when I could not visit them for a while.
@golftragic You have to be well on foot and free from giddiness. It can be exhausting to climb a summit, but the unobstructed view of the vast landscape, the open sky and to be so close to the clouds always touch me anew.
@jerome I can well imagine that. With my array of lower-limb problems you'll have to do the looking and photographing for me. My days of even thinking about climbing anything are lone done.
