In winter not many gondolas travel in the canals. At this time only a few tourists are in Venice and often it is too cold for a boat trip. So these gondolas rest at the landing stage and relax in the morning haze.
love the colour. Its such different colour to what I expect for Venice. Years ago we sailed into Venice in an early morning fog. Love the linear component...great vertical and horizontal lines.
