Great lights and darks in this shot, fascinating. I really like the absence of any markers of the scale of this shot. It's so abstract that it could be a close-up of something quite small, or what it really is. Lovely playground for the eyes.
Jerome you never cease to amaze me with your wonderful depiction of snow and ice.. in this intriguing the snow/ice does appear to have the resemblance of ice cream - it is the textures that you are so very good at exposing as well as depth etc.. for me it is always textures which first grab the attention..
@jorlam Thank you, Jorlam, for your so dear lines! It is wonderful when you have fun on the winter pictures. Snow and ice ... an inexhaustible theme ... And if you love the mountains, they love you back.
Again you have such an eye... I don't know many who are able to make something mundane look so beautiful and appealing... I know we've touched on it before but your own eyes (without the camera) I know must see everything so beautiful. It truly is a gift.
@kerosene Thank you for your kind words Caroline! So nice... it makes me embarrassed...
What I see... I let myself be embraced by the things I meet... from the light, the shadows, the colors, the light-dark, the gesture, the expression, the atmosphere ... Sometimes I want to represent this impression, intensify it, deepen it... try it with the means of the pictorial. Sometimes I come to something new, my own idea goes through. Each time the output is uncertain.
The experience is wonderful when a picture triggers a resonance among other people. More you can not wish for. This is also a gift. A very special one.
@Jerome how nice dear Jerome, and we are appreciative of the experience you give us! And you should not feel embarrassed as truly this is wonderful for us on this side. :)
