You have created fire behind those peaks Jerome. The dark of the rock face and trees is saying, "You shall not pass here." An awesome (in its literal form) shot.
Breathtaking raw beauty of nature. Looks just like a giant has sliced clean through the land to create those fearsome rock walls. Wonderful shot Jerome.
@golftragic Wonderful as you describe this rock wall, Marnie. Yes, it cuts down almost vertically deep. For me, it is impossible to climb it. And the mountaineers come from the other side, there it is easier, but also very demanding and very risky!

I never climbed the peaks of the Gosaukamm, they are very difficult. Only on the Donnerkogel I was (this peak is not seen in this photo, it shows only a small section of the Gosaukamm).
For me - Gosaukamm ist the most beautiful mountain range in Salzkammergut.
