small human

Do you see the climber - very small, on the ridge?

Some people think a mountain must be conquered. Whoever believes this is wrong in this place.
The mountains teach me bound and measure. At the same time they give me a sense of eternity. The rock - so hard and heavy... At the summit the feeling of lightness and freedom - after the effort of climbing. Every time a moving moment. A bit like arriving. Then the mountain meant good to me. But he does not always grant access.

Dachstein, Upper Austria.
Amazing words with your stunning picture.

It is one of the things I love about the mountains. It gives me perspective on my life and shows me how small I am, yet that I have a place here. Lovely mountain shot.

A wonderful shot and sense of greatness (in what the mountains are) and sense of being tiny (us humans!)... I love the reverence with which you speak of the mountains. If people could feel more the way you do, the world would be a much better place :)
