castle tower

The tower of Krumau is a prominent town's landmark. It was begun in gothic time (13th century) and completed in the Renaissance (16th century). Visitors can go up the stairs to the top. The arcade gallery offers a nice view of the town.
Wow, Jerome! Your processing sure took this tower to another level. Monochrome works so effectively, and your framing busing the trees is ideal. Instant fav.

Great framing. Nice processing.

Liebe die Sepiatöne. Es lässt mich denken, dass es eine Märchengeschichte dort oben in den Wolken im Turm ist.

Fabulous processing of this remarkable tower.

Wunderschön!

Quite wonderful - almost like an etching and how strange to spot those little heads peeping over the edge of the tower. The framing leaves in their varieties and depths add so much to the scene.

Love the colour!

Jerome, I'm running out of superlatives. Your work is consistently outstanding in terms of the captures themselves, your excellent eye and equally excellent processing. This tower could be a plate in an old book.

@alophoto Would you let down your hair?

@jerome Depends upon the prince. I'd have to check him out with binoculars first and maybe have a phone conversation:). Hahaha.

@alophoto Well, in fairy tales Rapunzel is not so picky. But that's just the rough difference to reality...

@casablanca Ja, man kann sich ein bisschen fortträumen... Geschichten erfinden, die sich in den alten Gemäuern zugetragen haben könnten... Aber die Welt ist für mich auch heute noch nicht entzaubert...

@helenhall I'm always amazed how accurately you look at a picture. "Those little heads peeping over" - certainly not everyone will notice.

@golftragic Very nice are your words, Marnie!
I try to give a motif its best expression - when taking pictures and then at home on the screen. It's always a new challenge and I try individual solutions.

@jerome Very interesting stuff Jerome. I do wish we could sit down and have a good talk about all this over coffee or wine. Ahhh, the tyranny of distance.
