the way you have processed the leaves on the tree that frames the castle is so lovely. I like too, the foreground rocks and their reflections - I see the same rock on which the castle walls are built and it makes me think of the process of the build and how much labour would have gone into it. Thankfully, it looks like it is being preserved well. Another wonderful view of the castle Jerome.
I have been loving this series Jerome. It seems so worthwhile to explore a topic more fully. I had never heard of Krumau but I feel I have had it explained so well. I have gone back and looked at all these images again with the Smetana piece - Vltava -playing! I love how you have presented each and every image.
I must echo earlier comments about the enjoyment of seeing each shot in this series. The images and your commentary are almost like being there with you. This castle is incredible, so well preserved, thank goodness. It must have been a strong fortress in past times sitting up on that rocky outcrop commanding the river.

Today we admire the magnificent castles and they can be marketed touristic. Undoubtedly a great architecture unfolded here in Krumau. It is a precious cultural heritage.
But the great effort and luxury for the castle - that's also something to think about. One could compare in which dwellings people had to live in the lower classes and how the lords of the castle established themselves.
