It was unusually warm in the past days and blooming everywhere. But now snow covers the valleys again. In the photo you can see my apple trees in the garden. They carry a heavy load of winter white.
Fresh, loose snow absorbs every sound, even the steps are muffled. It is then strangely quiet and the world seems to be introverted.
I'm sorry for the return of winter, but you certainly got one masterly photo out of the situation. I enjoyed your commentary as well Quite poetic, my friend.
One can always tell when it has been snowing at night, because even the sound and atmosphere in the bedroom seems different. You created a magical winter wood scene here with the heavy load on the branches. Quite remarkable. @mbrutus is right. You write poetically, and you also create poetry in your interpretations of the photographs which you take.
@golftragic Many crocuses were already in full bloom - the flowers are largely marred by the severe frost. The plants themselves have naturally survived the cold. But other flowers are blooming and spring returns slowly.
@mcsiegle Yes, I have reworked the photo - sharpened the contrasts, softened some, made the colours more pleasing.
If it is somehow possible in time, then I deal with a photo for a very long time, try in different directions, often there are many variants.
@helenhall You're right - I know that experience too: when it snows a lot at night, you already feel in the dark and in bed that something is unfamiliar. As you say - the sound and the atmosphere are different. The world seems changed.

Thank you for your nice comments!
Most of the snow has already melted. The nights are still chilly, but in the valleys there are plus-degrees during the day. A guest performance of the winter recalling for a few days again.

I think this world needs poetry if it wants to be human...
Thank you, Helen, for being here.
