having lived in muscat for more than 3 years in the mid-80's i still remember the beautiful sunsets i've whenever i went jogging by al-busrah. the nice thing was foreigners were allowed to swim in regular bathing suits. so after jogging, i just jump in the water. are you there right now, Jerome? this is such a poignant photo for me, brings back so may pleasant memories. big fav and aces!
@summerfield So nice that you have lived in Oman for so long, Vicki! It has been some time since I traveled to Oman. I would like to visit even more areas of this region. Unfortunately, life is too short to experience all the beauties of this earth. But maybe I will come to the desert again - the Sahara would tempt me.
@jerome - you haven't been to the sahara? saw it from a plane, it was fascinatingly curious and dangerous and mysterious all at the same time. if i was younger, i'd go on a trek to it, but unfortunately too much time has passed and my adventurous spirits have deserted me a long time ago.
@summerfield You mean, your adventurous spirits have left you? Maybe they deserted into the desert... If you like, we could search for them together... in the Sahara. Maybe we will not find them. But maybe you do not have to look for them - because they will find you... and embrace you, warm and beautiful...
Nice one, Jerome. It looks so inviting.
Beautiful place to be right now!
Thank you for your nice comments!
The evenings on the beach were full of atmosphere. It is an experience when the Arabian sun sinks into the sea.
