These golden tones you managed to pull out of this shot are luscious, it is almost tactile, velvety. Watching it and reading the narrative I couldn’t help hearing a verse from a Simon & Garfunkel's tune echoing in my mind: “and the leaves that are green turn to brown”. It doesn’t really fit the colors, but it seems to fit the mood. A fav, almost obviously!
@domenicododaro Thank you, dear Domenico, for taking so much time for this picture! Your lines are very sensitive. I feel the same way: When I see pictures, I often have multiple senses - not only visually, but also tactile, audible, smelling, tasting.
I think the association with S&G is very nice. Thanks for your friendly words!
@helenhall@juliedduncan Thank you, Helen and Judie, for your nice comments!
From a certain moment in life you get a feeling for the time that is left. The more of it is behind us and the less of it remains, the more precious it becomes. Therefore: carpe diem - pick rose buds as long as possible.
@juliedduncan I am always very embarrassed when I make mistakes when writing. My English is not very elegant, so I should at least spell the names correctly. Sorry again, Julie.
@jerome Jerome, don't be embarrassed! Your English is wonderful! I know a lot of native English speakers who couldn't write (or speak) a coherent sentence to save their souls - and they aren't even aware of it! Ha ha ha! :)

Maybe my text is a little too melancholic. One could also reinterpret the picture: harvesting a fulfilled life. I may be in the way of myself a lot. But there is too much that concerns me.
