...this man lives with his family in the jungle. He sat in his modest hut and made a brew that I didn't know.
He allowed me to take a picture with no expectation for money.
this is just a fabulous portrait, with so much joy. I looked at the top of the picture in awe and although it is not your usual topic, I thought there is only one person I know whose photography this must be. I was right. every detail on the body is there and it is such a natural pose.
@taffy Yes, it is actually a different world. I'm not sure what the appropriate interpretation is. I don't think I can live like this man in these really frugal circumstances. He cooks over an open fire and has little more clothing than this loincloth. I am grateful for highly developed medical care, good tap water at all times, newspapers, books, the Internet, building art, cinema and theater. This man lives in the moment, hardly knows what is happening outside of a narrow radius of his hut. He can neither read nor write. And yet I think I can learn a lot from this man. Undisguised approach to strangers, kindness of heart, concentration on the essentials. Composure instead of superficial amusement. To ask what we really need. The more the better - that can't be right. Rather: enough is enough.
I think it's about synthesis, which is called humanity - in me and in us.

Thank you very much for your kind visit!
This man seemed very content - with very few material goods. He had this unconditional warmth that makes an encounter special.
