RETIREMENT 101

Yesterday I was trying to decide what I will be doing today and the choice made for an interesting shot even if I didn't get a good result here. I'm not sure what would replace the camera and fishing in retirement with all the spare time. At one time I may have added golf clubs to the picture but a problem back won't allow it. We need to stay active with things we enjoy. (Shot 11-11)
I couldn’t agree more. One has to stay active and engaged in retirement. I’m not a fisherman but am an avid photographer (else I wouldn’t be on 365) and despite a problematic back and gimpy knees I still play golf regularly although I ride a power cart now. My wife and I enjoy travel which also aids my photography passion. I know a lot of folk get bored in retirement but I can honestly say that hasn’t happened to me.

Yup, use it or lose it. As long as you can get up in the morning and look forward to whatever it is that floats your boat you'll never grow old. I love to travel but it's definitely not cheap (well, neither is photography) but I've collected all the gear I need over the years so I'm good to go! When I go out with my camera I lose track of time and it definitely keeps boredom away!! :)

Since I have retired there has not been a dull moment. On the contrary, I always seem pressed for time. I go to gym 4x a week and the rest is spent with photography and 365. Being a housewife and loving the garden (forget the cooking and cleaning) there is plenty to do there too. I hardly have time to spend with my sisters and my days are much too short ;-),

Glad you are enjoying retirement. Photography and fishing are two of my favorite hobbies as well. I also love woodworking and gardening. All these hobbies give me a great desire to meet the day. Retirement is grand.
