My mentoring group's next assignment is focus stacking. We finally had 2" of rain day before yesterday and when I went out to do focus stacking, I found this marjoram flower loaded with droplets. I think that, given how many planes of focus there were, I should have taken more than the 6 different focus point shots that I took. Unfortunately the wind was coming up so I couldn't do that. I do like how it turned out though. It reminds me of Christmas decorations.
I was stunned and delighted to see your response to my teasel shot, taking it to the PP. Thank you so, so much
This is beautiful Jane!! I am looking forward to having a go at this. Driving to Devon tomorrow and my family are coming for the weekend so it may be next week before I get a chance. Fav for your gorgeous image!
It does look like a holiday sparkler... lovely shot. The droplets are so plentiful! Focus stacking in a breeze would be impossible.... you were smart to go with 6.
Wow, Jane...the focus in outstanding, even from 6 photos. I carried my tripod with me today to do some architectural shots at the Cultural Center and The Rookery. But neither allowed tripods. UGH!! So now must re-think and probably do an outdoor architecture shot -- hopefully tomorrow. This one is inspiring me with the rich color and great details. Fav.
This is beautiful, indeed, and it does look like little globes of holiday decorations hanging off the branches of a tree!! FAV!! And, focus stacking is definitely on my long list of things to try.....very well done!
This looks great Jane, and I love the sparkles of the water droplets. I can really see the improvement the dof is with the focus stacking. An inspiration!
