It was one of the first hot days of summer and I spied this "older" (who am I to talk!) couple sitting in the shade by the river with their lawn chairs and books. They seemed so content.
How contented they look & a great stage in life to attain. they don't look that much older than Harry & I either !!! You always feel younger than you are !
They do look content! Love the verse in the Bible that says "I have LEARNED to be content..." Contentment doesn't just happen, it's learned. A very tranquil shot... hope that will be me and my husband in a few years!
The older couple comment got to me too. We were standing on a shuttle bus in Zion and I was offered a seat by a younger person. I declined and was a little puzzled until I realized that he had been offering an older person his seat on the bus. All of a sudden, I felt a lot older than I normally do.
