Feather Focus Stacked by jgpittenger

Feather Focus Stacked

When I retired as a therapist, one of my wonderful clients gave me this beauty...beaded I think by her Native American husband. It is one of my favorite treasures. I decided to photograph it using both on and off camera flash trying to limit shadowing. I also focus stacked it because I wanted as much detail as possible on the feather.
I was really delighted to see that my lighthouse ray shot made it to TT! Very encouraging on a day when my flu symptoms have reoccurred. Thank you all so much. And thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
This is gorgeous Jane - what a treasure!! A lovely image showing the colour and details!!

Both are beautiful, but the b&w to me is the more artistic look as it's more about the form and texture.

Wonderful detail, I haven't tried focus stacking. Well done!

Exquisite, I love the beading and beautifully captured. Hope you are feeling better soon :)

@photographycrazy your shots are so uniformly sharply focused and mostly Aiken with among lens so I don't know how focus stacking would be necessary for you
