Sea Turtle Heading Back In Black and White with Texture

As per Taffy's suggestion, I added a texture. I think the turtle stands out more now but the rest looks kind of flat. maybe it just wont work as a b and w?

I don't find it flat - it's a marvelous setting for the turtle.

Now the turtle pops much better. I know what you mean about the flat background, but I don't notice it so much as the turtle is the star of the shot.
