Midweek Late Blooms

Day 252/365 (24July2024)
Hump day did its best to hump me, but I fought back with a vengeance (and a pair of running shoes)! Started the day battling a wardrobe malfunction of epic proportions (who knew finding the perfect pair of jeans could be so traumatic?) and a serious case of "I'd rather be anywhere but here-itis."
But after a long day of staring at spreadsheets, virtual meetings and chats, I unleashed my inner Usain Bolt on the pavement, extending my usual route for good measure. 4.43 kilometers later (yeah, I know, not quite a marathon!), I was feeling like a rockstar, fueled by adrenaline and the sweet melodies of my running playlist (minus any trace of "Thunderstruck," thank goodness). The endorphins were flowing, the birds were singing (or maybe that was just my headphones), and for a brief moment, all was right with the world. Clocked in at a cool 6:59 pace, not too shabby for a veteran, eh?
Still feeling rather pumped up, decided to go for a late evening walk.I stumbled upon a hidden patch of late-night yellow blooms during my cool-down walk. A little reminder that even after a day of retail therapy fails, work woes, and near wardrobe malfunctions, beauty can still be found in unexpected places. Talk about a plot twist! Hump day might have tried to bring me down, but I ended up blooming like those wildflowers. Take that, mid-week blues!
A hopeful sign.🌻
