I am beat tonight. Two days at work that seemed nonstop. Going to see if I have some whiskey, Richard. Then taking it to bed. So no Olympic sports. I am using yesterdays pictures.
This is nice, but I would have cropped out the pole on the right and the shadow in the foreground to have left the same aspect ratio, but a cleaner picture. Sound idea the whisky - I'm just finishing my second as I type.
@vignouse I'm going to try your suggestion and repost in a filler day in this album. Thank you Richard I appreciate the time you are taking to help me improve my photo taking. The whiskey was good. I may take a picture today and tell a story about it. But I've done something again to my camera. Locked focus or something. Ugh back to the manual.
@eyesmile Gena, I feel all my 66 years and 10 more this week. This computer conversion at work and computer problems are going to be the undoing of me. So I so appreciate you taking the time to comment on my pictures.
@joansmor You've probably accidentally switched the focus mode to 'manual', either on the lens or on the camera body... or both! You'll sort it out, I'm sure.
@vignouse I checked that. It focuses but it's not doing that moving the lens in and out. I think there is a focus lock button that I played with and once set you have to do something to undo. Going to wake up and check more carefully. Yeah, it's the AE-L, AE-F button I pushed. I hope that's what it is. My film camera was so much easier. LOL
@vignouse I think I'm okay. I just took a few pictures and the auto focus did sort of move just more suttle but the pictures are okay. I'm probably just getting so I notice things more and letting little changes get to me. Need to worry when the pictures aren't right not when it isn't operating as I expect. Hopefully a year from now I will laugh at my inexperience. Reminds me when I was new to computers.

Select five or six items that you feel represent you in some way, and arrange them in a still life, then photograph it using whatever technique/processing you wish. @barbarajdonnellan It's always cold lately. LOL Have to go play bingo at the Nursing home (this is my volunteer project and it energizes me.) Then I will play with that picture. I just added to my to do list. I got sidelined with scrapping. Maybe we can take pictures of us napping. ROFL
@mace508 I went to your site and neglected to notice you had posted on mine. Seems like we each challenged the other to do a photo that is in our favorite style. I love this kmitting, music boxes, photography, scrapping, oh my just 5 or 6.
