I went out early to capture ducks using a suggestion by my mentor. Problem with the ISO think maybe I misunderstood something. So my pictures where super grainy. On my search for ducks I wandered down into the mills and took some bracket pictures but this one is the one that appeals to me. I went out a second time saw some different ducks but still not thrilled with the pictures. Probably me expecting too much, but got more mill pictures and some nice sparrow pictures. Oh yeah and found my point and shot - happy day. Missed that all winter.
With high ISO it's impossible to avoid grain. Some cameras can't even handle 1600... In Adobe's Camera Raw software there is a really good noise reduction.
I like this little oddment you found Joan... it is intriguing - as is the exposure problem for the birds. This image was taken at 6400 ISO which seems high, but the shutter speed is not recorded in the Exif data... we'll sort it out off-line.
